Maintenance is going fine, and today his hair really started to come back. Grandma Melinda came out for a quick visit and took some nice shots of Sam and Zane hanging out. Hopefully we'll be able to post more pics from this trip soon. Things are happening much more slowly now, and we're settling in for the long haul. ___ Read More(by Kate) Zane is doing better with a lot of anti-nausea medicine, and starting to walk on his own a little more. Read More (by Kate) Zane isn't doing as well as he has been. He's energetic and alert, but eating almost nothing and really moody. He did take a couple solo steps today, though! Zane's chances of recovery have been increased to 90% after how he's responded to the first batch of chemo! And it looks like we only have about 4 1/2 more months (instead of the 8 or 9 we expected) of chemo before we enter our "maintenance" phase, which is where everything gets a lot easier. I repeat, we have remission! We don't find out how thorough the remission is till Friday, but Zane is definitely in remission! He's feeling like poop today, but his MARROW is feeling like a million bucks. (: (by Kate) A good day over-all. Found a great babysitter, and got a good lead on a part-time nanny. Zane doing ok, but he's on blood-pressure medication now. Read More(by Sam) A doctor said that Zane looks like he'll be ready to come home tomorrow. If he's still clear of fever (no sign since Sunday), can eat (he's done that since Thursday), drink (last Wednesday) and poop (last Saturday), he's coming home!
